this is just impossible as retrieving the sourcecode from any executable
once you get into compilation process, "literal" code is lost, all what you get is machine code
sure you can retrieve or hack some piece of code using disassemblers but certainly not get a fully-functionnal emulator from the binary
without the original sourcecode, there is not much you can do

regardless copyright issues, rom injection is still the best solution available
QUOTEone more thing, If it is possible to inject a rom into a 64 VC (say turn mario64 into pilotwings for example) would it be possible to run the VC from homebrew and inject code where the rom should be that would bring up an option for the use to select a rom from usb sd etc?

yes it is, it's just an on-the-fly VC injector running on the Wii, but this would require deleting/re-installing the channel everytime you want to change the injected ROM, pretty useless imo
