Hacking Wii- Wi-Fi

I have preloader 0.4 and i set it to block online updates and disc updates. does this mean i cant use wifi on a official game. (for example: pokemon battle revolution- does blocking updates stops the wii from connecting to nintendo to play online wifi battles?

Can someone please clerify this for me.

No it does not. You can play any game online without problems.

I see thanks, i couldnt do the internet test on the system menu or play any wifi games. For some reason it kept saying check your internet connection, must have somthing to do with my wifi then.
