I accidentaly upgraded my PAL Wii (with wiikey 1.9s) to firmware 3.3E.
My backup copy of Disaster: Day of Crisis does not work. At boot disc says: system error (or something like that), please reset.
Any help? Is it normal? Neither gekOS nor HBC previusly installed. Am I screwed?

Does the disc use the signing bug? If so, you will need a version that does not use that bug. I don't believe that GeckoOS can run them on this update.

I used this version: Disaster_Day_Of_Crisis_PAL_WII-MOMENT

Many thanks in advance for your help...

Sorry, but I can't tell you if that uses the signing bug or not. I would think that it should load if it doesn't use it.

What exactly is BootMii? A fully stable soft mod that allows you to play backups?

The following page is written by one of the developers for it, and gives a very detailed explanation of it...

Shop Channel works like charm now, Super Mario RPG downloads in few moments! Also, Wii Menu seems to work faster (like Mario Kart Channel doesn't lag anymore)

I don't understand the difference between tona's and Muzer's fix. Do they do different things?
Tona's is 2 in 1 pack, and will also make the fakesign bug patch in IOS51.

yeah i was just looking into this and tona's one seems a lot easier to use for now if people want simplicity.It also gets the latest shopping channel and should work for the future as well.

So, say, I download a WiiWare game on my PC (WAD) and i've used Muzer's fix on my Wii. Would I be able to install it using the WAD Manager, or can I only do that with Tona's?

Nintendo released a new update that disables you from installing anything new with regards to homebrew after you do the official update.
Tona's files install a hacked version of the update without blocking your homebrew so everything else should work after that and no need to use the official update.

Right, OK- i'll use Tona's now, and...Well, there's no need to say whether it works, because loads of other people have used it.

Is 3.3E out? I ask because I recently moved into a new apartment and after changing the internet settings, my Wii updated.

that's gonna suck if I unknowingly downloaded this.

If you haven't declined the update you probably installed it...

//EDIT:
Date of new update was the 23rd.
You can use AnyTitleDeleter to check if you have IOS51 installed.
If Yes, then you got the new 3.3 update.

Hey i just looked for that...it seems that i have the IOS51....what does this mean? Because everything is working right now(i was able to downgrade after the new update) so this ios was installed by the update, right? Should i do anything?

Asked two times before, but nobody aswered....would be nice to get some help thistime!

Thanks you!

Did you get some error messages when running AnyTitleDeleter?
If you have the IOS51 you probably have the new 3.3 update installed.
If you had a custom IOS installed before the update, then mostly all previewsly installed apps should keep on working... but do not uninstall you cIOS then!

//EDIT:
Waninkokos Downgrader only downgrades IOS30. But the new 3.3 update got rid of the fakesigning bug in all other IOSes, too.

Yes i got some error messages when openning the anytitledeleter...And i think i had the Ios249 (dvdx) installed while updating...well, just as i said...i have no problems right now...I'm on 3.2E now and everything is working....wad de/installing for example. But i want to know if this IOS51 could make any problems in future with the new backuploader or anything else...

thanks again!

Crap, it was on the 23rd......I'm at work today, so I won't be able to confirm until tonight.

you have updated and had a cios installed. downgrading just worked because of cios but anyhow your ioses are patched. you have system menu 3.2 but with patched ioses in the back. so no installation of fakesingned wads with regular ioses. as long as you don't accidentally uninstall cios you are save. if that happens u r fuc..., actually. but some people are working on a solution for that.

No problems with IOS51 in future. (at least we don't even now what's this ios is for, really)
But you maybe get problems with some homebrew... (see error messages on anytitledeleter)

You are not really on 3.2E now, you only downgraded the system menu to 3.2E
