Hacking Wii U softmod available?

So I have been looking around on the internet and in these threads and I only see the vWii being able to play back-ups of games. My question is: Is the Wii U side able to play back-ups of games via a usb hdd? If so, can someone point me in a credible direction that has the information I am looking for? Thanks. I want to be able to play back-ups of my games and not ruin the actual discs.

No, vWii is the only hacked part of the Wii U for now.

In before the flaming: No, there is no way to play Wii U iso's or homebrew yet. Only Wii games in vWii mode.

Ps: Sure, we all just play backups, so we can keep our retail discs clean !

Not yet. Although keep hoping and maybe around X-mass it will be hacked.

The actual Wii U part is not. There's some hacking group out there that claims they 'broke open everything' and gave out how they did it to some developers who apparently 'showed no interest'.

They haven't offered any proof and such, and are snobby pricks so we don't really pay them attention.
