Hi everybody,

I installed the Snes9x GX emulator, but everytime I try to connect my Wii U pro controller, it only gets registered as player 2 and only the Wii mote gets assigned as player 1. I tried resyncing both controllers at the same time, disconnecting the wii mote and then connecting the pro controller etc., but nothing seems to work, no matter what, the pro controller is always player 2.

Has anyone had the same issue or an idea on how to fix this ?

I haven't used that emulator on Wii U but it's most likely because it's automatically making Wii U gamepad player 1 I would guess.

Edit: nevermind it's a Wii emulator I think? I didn't even think you can use Pro controller for vWii at all.

Edit 2: I just read they did add gamepad support. I assume you're injecting it into the Wii U menu and like I said originally it's making gamepad controller 1 every time.

There seems to be no fix as the one who replied made the emulator https://github.com/dborth/snes9xgx/issues/883

another link no fix https://github.com/dborth/snes9xgx/issues/867

Thats quite a bummer, but thanks for digging through the github.

Might have to look for alternatives then.

Not sure why the creator of the app wouldn't have pointed this out, but I discovered that all you have to do is use the Wii remote cursor to point at the controller icons in the bottom left corner of the main menu of SNES9X GX (and other apps with similar guis)

It doesn't matter that the Wii U Pro Controller is paired to slot 2, it can still be assigned to nes controller port 1

Saved me lots of headache trying to pair and unpair controllers (of course I discovered this by clicking around on the screen in frustration lol)
