Got a Wii U Today it as 4.3.2E on but the game i need to download to play iwill it tell me it will have to update my wii u if i try to download the game or will it just do it on it own the game is spatoon pack

Have a little hard to understand what you're saying, but if you want to update your Wii U to firmware 5.2.0 for hacking then use Splatoon game.

It's really hard to understand what you mean but from I understood is that you have it as a DLC. So yes, if you download it, your console will most likely update to 5.5.0. Only way is to get a physical copy of a game with 5.3.2 on it and update it without any internet connection.

You don't *need* to update. You can also just spoof your FW to 5.5.0 and play it online.

thanks yes to download the DLC part that i get free with the wii u i was going to try and see if it asked me to update in order to download the game but dont really want to chance it thanks for your answer i will give it a miss i think

So, for the facts, you need to update the console to 5.3.2E, then use the current exploits to install the 5.5.0 spoof. Then, as long as you keep quick-start disabled, you'll be relatively safe, and can cancel any attempted future update on system boot.

Hmm, yea, I suppose that's true. But don't forget tubehax dns. I know it's a pretty big step, and can take a lot of books to understand how to set up, but it's worth the time it takes.

Can't use Nintendo Network Online Services without disabling Tubehax though, as you can't sign into your account without contacting their servers first, can you? I know the game itself doesn't need anything but its own servers, but you still need to sign in to play them, don't you?

Tubehax will let you play games that you own online, and access eshop from what I know. Just loaded up eshop using tubehax and no other dns, anyway.

Since he posted in the Wii U Hacking & Homebrew section then I thought he wanted help with that since i could barely understand anything he said exept splatoon, online and a firmware below 5.3.2.
