Just a heads up in case they release a new update.

Nintendo has scheduled in maintenance for some of the online services on the Wii U. The maintenance description advises that the services affected will only be “certain network services” which includes online play and rankings.

The maintenance will go ahead at the following times:

  • Tuesday, February 2, 4:50 PM – 6:30 PM – PT
  • Tuesday, February 2, 7:50 PM 9:30 PM – ET
  • Wednesday, February 3, 1:50 AM – 3:30 AM – EU
  • Wednesday, February 3, 12:50 AM – 2:30 AM – UK

It does sound like an update on it's way. And Nintendo have been known to patch things quite quickly. (yes memchunkhax2 for 3DS, I'm looking at you! :ph34r:)

They'd struggle to patch Hykem's IOSU exploit, since there are several of them and we don't know which one it is.
They could definitely patch the userland exploit, though, since that's publicly known.

I'm sure they're going after browserhax. What what about Yoshi's Cookie, will it get the IRONHAX treatment or Ninty will leaft that alone for now?

    @Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

    Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    @BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

    You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60
