Hardware Wii u locked no pass, cannot add new user

Ok, i got one wii u console, one account with no password. When i try to add new user im getting this message: no free memory to add new user .

You need 70MB of free space.

If you can't clear enough space then you can't add new user as it requires 70MB internal space.

Ok. This is solution. I found 4gb old usb stick, and plug it in, but nothing happend.
So, i format that 4gb on different wii u, and plug it again in first one.
And after restart, it works, console offer me to create new user.

One Wii U saved.

I tried the same thing but got the same error message, no free memory to add new user. Am i missing anything?

there's a way to delete a locked user. I think it might be related to the barista file, but I don't remember the exact method.

I have two Wii U's: One 'modded with CBHC' and one 'un-modded locked'.

I have formatted a new USB stick on my modded Wii U. It's was a pain because the Wii U does not like two USBs at the same time. After formatting, I plugged it in the locked Wii U and still got the error :/

I would like to completely format the Wii U. I don't care about previous owner's games and data.

not sure if that will get into the locked user or not. it may still be locked by formatting. let me see if I can find out how to remove a locked user.

Oh yeah, I've heard about using FileZilla to access the files, but I don't know how. Does Wii U serve a FTP server?

you need a way to get into the homebrew launcher (use the hbl one). the homebrew launcher folder and that folder go in wiiu/apps on the sd card

can't ftp from wii u home menu without iosuhax, another hack. it's like ftp, but it's much slower using wup server. I've never tried deleting something though. it's how we used to use haxchi. if it's not hacked, you could try a format and hope that deletes the users. I'm not sure if it will or not.

I can't access the Settings nor the Wii U home screen. Bummer.

I'll make sure to post updates if I manage to fix the issue.

my suggestion if that doesn't work and you don't care about what's on there is to use browser hax just to get into the homebrew launcher. can't access the home screen? not sure how you'll be able to fix it.
