this is pretty big news why isn't this on the front page, the switch linux tease is already front page, give the wii u a little love it aint dead yet or this wouldn't even exist, still though this pretty sweet.
Because switchax is "cool" and wiiu is an "crappy dead" console.
The whole Switch thing is a non-stop hype train while the WiiU was forget as soon as Nintendo stopped to support it.
I was kinda sad with that fact but ultimately nice wiiu stuff is coming (Linux-wiiu, WiiUPluginSystem and boot1hax) :)

I've managed to get a far as loading the kernel :) but I haven't got Linux set up to write the Distro to USB.
Is it possible to turn the Debian.tar.zx into a IMG so I can write it with Win32Diskimager?

The image is for a 4gib usb drive, so if yours is larger to use the whole space you'll have to manually resize the filesystem on the Wii U after booting linux

(warning: I didn't have any free usb drive to test the image, so it may also not work..)

Can I have the ext4 partition along with a fat32 one?

Where does it get stuck?

Sure. You can either do it on a linux computer (recommend) or do it on linux for wii u.
How do you connect the internet? it says in the guide to tether with bluetooth?
Would the USB Ethernet adaptor work?

Yeah. It's kind-of-slow though (dial-up speeds...)
You can follow standard tutorials online to share internet via bluetoeth with android and linux

Soon enough we should start to include usb net adapters support
