Does this bother you?

  • Yes, I'm outraged by their disloyalty. **** you developers.

  • No, I'm glad more people can enjoy it and the developers make some extra cash.

  • Dont care, Wii U is hot garbage.

Why would it?
I'm a PC Gamer primarily and my only incentive to buying consoles and handhelds would be exclusives that aren't available on my platform. When that console has its exclusives taken away from it, it makes it less valuable or appealing.

I'm glad that it's available on PC but I'm seeing it from the perspective of Wii U only owners.

It got ported to 3DS beforehand... it hasn't been exclusive for a while.
You're right, that did slip my mind.

I'm hoping those ports to switch will be different enough and not a 1:1 copy.

The WiiU's production has ceased. I say let this company make some money.
In the case with Wii U and it's poor sales. I agree with you, they shouldn't be shackled to a system and miss out on potential sales. Anyone getting a Wii U at this point most likely isn't interested in the exclusives to be a selling point.

Not that anyone really cares about this game that deeply. Besides, WiiU has been losing exclusives almost constantly. Now even moreso with the Switch rumours.

a bad game on a bad console with no install base gets released on steam because a developer wants to make some money and have access to more users. WOW, yes get the pitchforks.

I really enjoyed this game's multiplayer. Couldn't imagine playing it on PC. It really feels like a "sit on the couch and play" kind of a game.

Dont know about you but I play my PC games from the couch sometimes. I never understood what makes console owners think only they are allowed to sit at couches.

I didnt say if it bothered @mashers but if anyone whom is a Wii U owner. More specifically Wii U only owners.
Anyone means 'any person'. I am a person, so am therefore included within that group. I am also a Wii U owner and in fact don't have any consoles other than Nintendo, so meet the second of your criteria. Do you now feel ok about me replying?

I apologize if I offended you. No, you are a person just like everyone else. Having more people have access to games and not being restricted is a good thing. I just dont know how good of an investment the Switch would be if the same thing happens to it.

Breath of the Wild can already be played on the Wii U and I imagine that will be the superior version since it was made for that first so they will need to knock it out the park with something truly mind blowing for me to want to invest on another console. A 3D Mario would be cool but nothing like that garbage 3D World game.

I wasn't offended. I just thought your response was weird since you seemed to be seeking opinions on the topic, and I gave one. Anyway, lets move on.

WRT how good an investment the Switch would be, that depends not only on how many exclusives there are, but which other hardware you already own which runs the non-exclusive Switch titles, and furthermore the number of titles you want to play which don't appear on Switch. Of course there will be Nintendo-exclusive titles (Mario, Zelda, Pokémon...)

Clearly the more overlap there is between console A and other consoles you own, the less value for money the console will be for you. However, I don't think a couple of Wii U games being released on other platforms necessarily indicates anything about developers' intentions for Switch.

It's been going on for years. Devs touting X game as exclusive to a console, while there's a pc version. No one seems to have taken an issue with it before, don't see why it should be different when it happens to the Wii U.
