Well, right now it's mostly really big assumptions that at least Hykem has code execution at boot0 to be able to see what's in the boot1 OTP bank, as well as maybe others like smea, we're just playing a big game of replicating work while everyone learns about the system :\ if such a thing exists then obvs we wanna know what it is since boot0 can't be rewritten since it's on-dye and it's basically unpatchable, only boot1 and later can be updated via system updates. We haven't exactly had much contact with him for confirmation :\

wow! that completely slipped past me, i figured he was just documenting boot0's usage of the banks, but there's definitely more there than in boot0. still, i wouldn't doubt there's other side-channels to work around the OTP disable. especially since they're not disabling OTP as a whole and thus they can't just securely clock-gate the entire thing.

People really need to be patient and wait, but the devs that say things like "I've seen what people have done with exploits" like Mario(whom I respect a ton)..well the only exploit on wii u right now is limited and convoluted can you blame devs for not wanting to work on it? The 3ds was exactly in the same position as wii u scene a couple years ago but with the release of exploits came people like Roxas, d0ke(who made tons of low level stuff for 3ds), dark_samus, aurora, rei, mid-kid, rinnegatmante(who has probably made the most homebrews out of everyone) and many more devs who aren't reverse engineers necessarily but damn good at working and helping in the scene making so many useful tools and such but without exploits provided for them we wouldn't be where we are in the 3ds scene. That's what makes a community people working together, sometimes it takes a while but just look at the 3ds scene it's amazing right now. We will all look back at the 3ds like we do the psp because the community is always doing something interesting not just a small circle of devs with exploits

This post is definatly not asking for exploits AT ALL, I'm aware that we have to be patient to get a good release eventually but I am convinced once iosu is ready and released with a dev environment that's easy to work with this scene will end up pretty good IMO.

Which is why they're being so quiet about NX and ZeldaU. We all know it's coming, I saw it as soon as they announced the NX codename. It'll be cross-console release just like TP again. At least TP didn't offer anything new outside of a flipped world and motion controls during first release.

We have had developers come , make homebrew and leave now...its over unless the hacks are unified... meaning release a 5.5 kernel and let people who want to dev for the wiiu go at it.. I personally dont think this will happen now , dimoks gone , the 5.5 devs are pissed at no kernel. leaving no one really bothering.

You know how active wii homebrew is? even though it is so out dated. Think abut when nintendo forgets about the wii u. The hoomebrew will start because every will be on a hackable firmware

a lot of the new devs are on 5.5 which isn't hackable at the moment....unless those with 5.5 hack give it out to new devs to let them get on.....who knows...what'll happen...
