I stopped viewing this tread for 4 days, and not to my surprise, another shitstorm happened. And now this thread has went completely off topic. Also people who updated to 5.5.1 are damn lucky since we now know that yellows8's exploit is needed to run the kernel and IOSU exploit if I remember correctly. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

IOSU manages access to USB (and many other things). The upcoming homebrew would then also have IOSU privileges.

But IOSU is a big part of it to gain hardware access. Together with a full kernel exploit, there should be no reason to not have goodies like EmuNAND and USBloaders. Getting someone interested to develop and release one is something different altogether, since most devs are not interested in supporting "backup loaders".
