You need the latest version. This should be it.
Ok I tried the new version and it works PERFECT! Thanks for that! I got New Super Luigi U dumped and put on an sd card exactly the same way I did SMB3D, when I went to play it in mii maker mode it just freezes on a white screen, anyone else having this issue. I saw on the compatibility list that most of the games now work on mii maker mode so maybe im doing something wrong?

It's incredibly buggy and unfinished, or so I hear

Hopefully it's still being developed since, as a patched exploit, there is no "strategic" reason not to release it (when done). Hopefully the TriForce (User + Kernel + IOSU) will kickstart some serious development, for example a no-update fix or even a emuNAND + no-update fix which allows you to go online without fear AND keep your sysNAND clean. There are still plenty of <5.2 WiiUs out there.

Do we have any tools to create RPX files without needing the leaked SDKs yet? Loadiine would serve as a nice beginner homebrew loader, I imagine (relatively stable environment, SD card access (I think, since we're launched under Smash/Mii maker), pretty much everything except networking, right?)..

Not yet. I had planned to develop something for that purpose (when we were considering a community driven SDK), but I rarely have the time and interest also faded away.
Regardless, an alpha of the RPX/RPL to ELF was added here: https://github.com/Hykem/rpl2elf
It's far from complete and the original goal was to implement the reverse process (ELF to RPX/RPL), but if someone has the time, please consider contributing to it.

Well, before i updated to 5.3.2 i was on a pretty low version (i don't remember which version it was, but the console came with a physical Nintendo Land disc).

I could've stayed on the lower version but the reason i updated to 5.3.2 was 'cause of:

Advantages of updating to 5.3.2:
  • Can use all available hacks
  • Hykem IOSU Exploit soon™ (but later than lower FW)

(whatever 'all available hacks' concludes).
The latter one seems obvious ;-)

Perhaps i should hunt for another Nintendo Land WiiU and leave it 'as is'?

Pretty dumb question but:
Is there any indication a method will be discovered allowing to skip cumbersome exploit steps to basically boot into a homebrew enabled state on the Wii U? 3DS discovered a method involving the Themes. I know the Wii U bootrom was dumped (along with some drama) something over a year ago, but does that even have any relevance with what we have now?

Not really permanent CFW which as I understand it is most likely impossible, but how unlikely is the 'next best thing' so to speak?
