any chance in the future we see some super mario 3d world or smash wiiu mods from you? :P
Once everything's ready to go on the latest version, definitely. Only thing is Smash will probably be bottlenecked until we get USB loading working (damn gigantic archives)

I'm working on smash stuff as well myself. (when aren't i). The moment the exploit is released i'll have a lot more to talk about.

There are a few possible solutions to that as far as i see it. A mem patch to read the files uncompressed from a storage medium like you mentioned previously, or maybe even perhaps faking custom DLC or updates. That way it could be distributed easily. Though the latter is a bit far fetched. I don't doubt it's a possibility in the future, but it sure wont kick off that way. But what do i know haha. I know close to nothing about the WiiU architecture. I just mod games :P

i really hope then we get some sort of SD/usb support then for file replacements, smash comunity has always been strong so once a moddding port opens you will see all sorts of moveset, textures and even stage hacks everywhere kinda like ssbb, wich i hope smash4 modding gets to that point:P

Super mario 3d world modding is a little wierder i mean sure one could mode like sm64 levels but the way the game engine works get to the end of the level and jump to the flag, i dont know if that could ever bee removed tbh.

I thought the webkit exploit for 5.3.2 was going to be pretty straight forward according to Hykem? If I remember correctly he said it just before he got his wiiu console. Does anybody know of his progress on the IOSU exploit?

Not possible.

If it were Galaxy or Sunshine, sure, since those games base their level layout and episodes around getting the Shine/Star.
3D World is based on reaching the goal, that's it.
I find it rather hard to fit 6+ episodes to get a certain Star/Flag in a single level. It would require some really heavy hacking tweaks.

I think a 3D Land remake would suit a lot more. :P

yeah, he got the right webkit exploit now and is just making the final preparations. yesterday was spent compiling the webkit with the right version on his computer. it takes an average time of 4 hours, for the linking to be done correctly (using less processing power)

I'll release my BFSTM building tool this week. You will need dspadpcm.exe though, preferably version 2.3. I just need to add something to specify whether one track in a multichannel song is mono or stereo, and also the volume and pan of that track. It's extremely important for Mario Kart 8's Music Park.

I mostly understand BFWAV creation as well, so it can be included with my tool. All the music in NSMBU is BFWAV, which is stored inside wave archives (BFWAR) inside the BFSAR, so we'd have to do BFSAR editing. If we insert a song that's longer than the original, we'll have to update all of the file offsets. I know how the file table is structured and everything, but I could use help making an editor, as I have no experience with that. Preferably a GUI as well. I can give specifications and collab with anyone that's interested in this (UWizard maybe?!), so I'd just need people to let me know if they wanna help me out with this. My free time is going to be limited since I'm working now.

Also, any Wii U work I do is applicable to 3DS stuff in case anyone is here from that sub-forum.

Hmm, I guess I need to do an NUS3BANK injector as well for Smash Bros. We'll at least be able to edit the music and movie files without much trouble, since they're stored separately from the rest of the files in that reside in the dt00 and dt01 archives.

If there's demand for other music replacements, specifically ones that use the DSP ADPCM codec, I can look into generation those. I'm specifically thinking of Hyrule Warriors and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate at the moment.
