Is all this going to be launched through the web browser, or will it be something like the Homebrew Channel that the Wii had? Can't wait to see what happens with all this :)

Currently, my system is not connected to the internet due to thought of exploit not working on latest FW. Now that it can work on latest, is it safe to go back online?

It will definitely allow for cheats! In case you didn't notice, a few pages back, NWPlayer123 made a video showing how the soon-to-be-released kernel exploit can modify game RAM! And, for any noobs: Modify game RAM = Cheat Codes :D

Accessing and modifying the RAM pretty much makes you a very powerful user, not just in modifying the RAM for cheat codes. <3

Yes, this will all be launched through the web browser until another entry point is found. The loader must be defeated before a homebrU launcher can be installed.

Do you think another entry point will be found?
I have no doubt that another entry point will be found! I think that the next exploit will be a save exploit. Once we can dump the per-console DES keys or get an IOSU exploit, we can access the USB storage and (hopefully) find an exploit in one of the game's save data! (It would be funny if Smash had another exploit. :P)

I don't have a Wii U but maybe I can work on getting SMP working for it. I have some free time now, so let's see what can I do
Hey im not all "there" today as i woke up with what appears to be the flu. Sorry for the delay, are you familiar with PPC and/or ARM ASM at all?

Yup,I'm not an expertise of course but I have some good experience in the environment, and I'm familiar with PPC/ASM and ARM. Besides that, I'm not making a promise either asking for something, its just a little challenge for my knowledge and I just want to help the Scene, maybe in the future I will buy a Wii U and use the homebrew made by these great guys. So it's just me trying to return the favor.

Sweet! And just to avoid any confusion Team Trinux has nothing to do with what Marionumber1 et al is doing. However, trinux in U mode is dependent on what they're working on, as well as what Hykem is doing (IOSU exploit) so we can have access to external storage.

Trinux will be a very nice conplement to whatever exploits are developed :)

I seriously doubt people will be able to cheat online. The online items are likely, hell probably are, controlled by the server. Would explain the "Spinning Item Wheel of Death". MKWii and MK7 never had this, and we very well know that the items were local.

Thats the one thing i dont want to happen as a result of wii u hacking, online cheating ruining it for everyone else. I wouldnt mind a private server however where cheats are allowed and that clearly stated (just for fun) but i dont wanna see people ruining online for others who dont wanna cheat

When I played MKWii Online, I always had cheats enabled, but I never used them unless someone started harassing me. :D (I even have a special cheat code that I made where when I hold minus, then when a car gets hit with a bomb it goes through the floor and keeps falling for the rest of the race.)

Sounds a lot like Mario Kart Wii right now. At least with MK8, we can decide to build up servers for these games and all, since the modders have more experience now than they did before Nintendo shut down their WFC. Of course, the Wii U has more features but you can block out update servers and access the store (or last I checked).

Sorry, but considering this news was announced close to April Fool's Day, I'm going to have to be skeptical. As much as I'd like to have a Wii U exploit I can run on my current firmware, I have to be realistic considering my experiences with other console hacking scenes, and just not believe it until we actually get a legitimate release.

I'm all for cheats (even though I don't really use them myself), as long as they're used responsibly and don't ruin the fun for others.
Dont you get tired of repeating what you just said over 2000 times lol

Pretty much :P

Believe what you will, I can guarantee you everything will be out by E3, unless something drastic happens. It's not gonna take that long to get finished and released.
Hykem should have the Webkit exploit finished in the next week or two, and depending on when Relys has time, the kernel exploit should be polished enough for 5.0.0, then we need to work on getting everything else working on 5.3.2 (shouldn't be that difficult) and then releasing.
