Oh I can update? Cool, my Wii U was getting dusty. What a shame the browser exploit ended up being garbage because of it being leaked.

I'm kinda waiting for the Wii U to just end up having to be hard-modded in order for it to be of any use outside of Nintendo's power.

It's been known for a little while, it's easier not to hold out personally. The developers gave us their word, and that's good enough for me, heh.

We've been saying since 5.1.1 came out that it's pretty much fine. The only thing is if you wanna poke around yourself before anything gets released.

Didn't we have this discussion previously? No, they can't. It involves dumping and re-compiling rom data, and then running it on one of the shifty little flashcards you have to buy.

It works, though! And it's planned to be able to allow you to convert tracks from the DS and Wii versions to the 3DS version!

Well, my own damn fault for not clarifying, just saying there's no benefit to not being on 5.1.2 unless you're a developer, so you might as well be up to date.

No, we didn't. That's a shame; oh well. Sounds like a really cool tool. Guess I'll just stick to SNES emulation on the 3DS. If the exploit comes out, that is.

Hey there - just a hunch of me. Can't the shellshock bash exploit be used? I mean calling a bash-function over php would be easy right? And since the Wii U works with the PowerPC you should have a Unix running under the hood or am i wrong?

No, bash has nothing to do with Cafe OS. It doesn't exist. Cafe OS is a bare-bones, built-from-scratch solution, anything they don't need they don't have.

As i said it was just a hunch because i thought that they would need something like a shell in cafe OS and since PowerPC OS like AIX are unix-like OS i thought that this hunch would have helped you

No one's doing anything anymore. Since the browser exploit got patched, it didn't really catch on. If it wouldn't have been leaked, we might have something to look forward to from higher up developers.
