Hacking Wii U EU modding question

Hi there,

For years of having fun modding my original Wii. I'm going to mod my Wii U European version.

Are you talking about the DS game? There are a ton of PAL games listed. PAL=EUR

A couple of questions:

I only want to mod my vWii, is this possible?

Yes it is possible to hack vwii only

If not will i still be able to update my Wii u original games (updates/dlc ?)

The WiiU is not like the switch, you can hack/mod to your hearts content and continue to update and use online services. The only big no-no is cheating in games online.

Currently only own disc games (mario party and Zelda HD games)

What is de best method for modding the vWii ?

Yes it is possible to hack vwii only, although I don't know why you would want to limit yourself

First off all, thanks for taking the time to reply to my question.
Which would probably already have been asked a couple of times, all tough i could not find it..

I thought, the WiiU could get banned from online services, thus preventing me from updating my purchased games.
I really loved the emulators on the original Wii, the entire reason i still had it connected to my tv.
Knowing the WiiU can also emulate DS games makes me really wanna hack the sh*t out of it..

Only one other question:
I read through the "[Guide] Community noob guide to Wii U hacking" [https://gbatemp.net/threads/guide-community-noob-guide-to-wii-u-hacking.451297/]
It requires u to install a game, but there are no EU games listed, does it mean i can not use that guide and need to find another ?

My bad.. i overlooked that!! I was focussed on finding EU / EUR that i overlooked PAL
It's been a long day, thanks mate!!

Maybe it will be better to mod the Wii after a goods nights of rest
Still got some work to do before that.. and promised some screenshots / config files in another topic
