ya its totally correct i would be able to but was there a doubt before? PS3 and Xbox can handle it too so why not the wii u?
the only real question is, is it POWERFUL enough to handle it?
The game can be developed to meet the system specifications of the console since it's being developed from scratch, so the power of the console isn't much of an issue. In any case, FF11 was an MMO that ran on the PS2. I doubt the Wii U will have much difficulties running an MMO

Then again I don't quite understand what you posted

At the mention of a Pokemon RPG... Why not? Pokemon already has well defined areas and characters. Even the already sound gaming formula only needs a bit of tweaking to adapt it to a MMO environment. If it doesn't interest you, then you wouldn't have to play it.
A Pokemon MMO where players run around catching Pokemon and battling each other (PvP style) would be #@+^*! EPIC :creep:

Just saying
But only runnign around and catching would be fun to an extent coz without a story, a Pokemon game is not much fun. Its like that pokemon simulator's next version.

Actually I was just listing some features of a hypothetical Pokemon MMO. Naturally, any appealing or bare bones MMO would contain main questlines, side quests, and if possible a main storyline

You might want to rethink your wording...

My only thing on a Wii U MMO is...can Nintendo's servers handle it? Or are they dropping friendcodes completely?

the fact tht the world is shifting to MMO games altogether must have struck the mind of nintendo.

friend codes were used before bcz (correct me) the wii and ds had it which were older systems compared to their counterparts and it was a "try idea". when the dsi-xl or similar came, they had to work upon its older versions and hence could not change the system entirely.
u can see tht nintendo realised tht wep was not the way with ds and hence implemented wpa-2 on dsi (just like the psp couldnt handle wpa-2).
Its about when to change IMO and i think nintendo can do so now. They are rethinking their console for "idevice" type along with major internet usage.

even their next ds was called dsi (and not eye)

Usual disclaimer- not an MMO player of any flavour.

I am mainly here to ask why are people hung up on the control schemes as for one single and local co-op RPGs and dungeon crawlers (both of which provided the UI foundation for the world of warcraft style MMO) once again have similar levels of complexity that consoles manage quite well even without a tablet controller. Far more important than that who says and indeed since when does (basically see many of the small 2d sprite/isometric and java based stuff) MMO mandate a (almost pointlessly complex?) WOW style UI?
That I can see all MMO requires is many people to be able to play and maybe if you want some level of persistence and that such a thing can be made using java would surely indicate just about everything PS2 and up could handle it from a resources perspective. Assuming a good install base (nothing really to indicate the wii u will be a roaring success) and assuming you can get the console makers in on a decent pricing model (I think we can all agree subscription models face a serious problem in general and certainly would on a console and given also what we have seen on how the companies charge for access to their dev kits and online stores) this almost seems like a non story (it isn't and KingVamp was quite OK to post it).
