Hacking Wii U Browser Upgrade?

Hello,

we all know the Browser is getting really outdated and it's now even impossible to do Captchas. Personally I always loved to watch movies and such on the Wii U browser but due to Captchas and various websites not displaying anymore it became very hard to do so.
So since we can actually install files to the NAND / load from Homebrew wouldn't it be possible to upgrade the browser to make it support newer protocols?
I have a dump of the Wii U browser files but I'm not able to link it here.

I'm just wondering if it would be possible and if someone would be interested to try this.

And yeah, I know "just use your pc/phone or whatever to watch what you want". That is not what I'm looking for so don't even reply if you just want to tell me that.

It's theoretically possible but so much work no one's ever gonna do it.

You can use firefox in the wii u linux port but that didn't play any videos when I tested it

Thought so. Well a workaround I have found in case the Wii U browser dies completely is streaming mp4 files or your pc screen directly to the Wii U browser. Will always work as you can choose the formats yourself but yeah its a lot of work just to watch videos on your Wii U.

damn, I really wanted a good browser for my wii u... or at least youtube, since it seems that GiveMiiYoutube doesn't work anymore on 2025?? although Im not sure

GiveMiiYouTube definitely works, just casted some videos from my phone and YouTube still worked fine
