Hacking Wii U 2019 Query?

Hi everyone. First Post. I need some assistance. I installed haxchi on my Wii U in 2016 and after purchasing a Switch moved over to that.

However, I want to use the Wii U for vWii and also running homebrew in 2019. I also want to use the eshop. My question is even with blocking updates by DNS what is the chance of getting banned by Nintendo? I love using my Switch so would hate to be banned by Nintendo for using my Wii U.

Somebody put me out of my misery here.

You cannot be banned on Wii U unless you mod games and play them online. Switch is a different story.

Thanks. So the only bans are modding games themselves and playing online with them? I won't be doing that but has anybody been banned for just installing homebrew/games?

Even though you can associate them for sharing eshop credit, joining the new club nintendo, etc - a NNID is not a Nintendo Account

When you are banned on the wii u, your switch is unaffected.

I play my games on the cemu emulator online. And no ban since today.

God we had our hacked wii u for about 3 years .. My son uses MK 8 online & I still play Black Ops 2 from time to time ... & Netflix ...

Edit - Do I need to run Haxchi before I run any games installed on the hard drive?

Out of region Wii U games - yes
DLC - yes
Virtual Console games or injects such as Wii/Gamecube - yes
