Either this prog really fucks up the Wii's channels and order, or this video is fake. The menu looks COMPLETELY different before and after the downgrade.

Why you got to posts the same post in both subjects?
Sorry, but what?

And to the above post, exactly what I was thinking.

First thing that struck me as odd was that it was a WAD install... with a ticket and everything... why would the system files need a ticket?

Second, when it was rebooted, Breath of Fire 3 was in the channel line up, when it wasn't there in the 3.1 channel line up...

Just seems fake... but who knows...

Because the new firmware has different icons than the last firmware.

I have a sense that this isn't fake. We will see hopefully soon

why all the OMG FAKE no its not, yes the wii system menu has a ticket, i cant remember what it is soemthing like 0AXP i checked it earlier, there also 2 hidden channels i beleave that the disk channel also has a ticket even tho it cant be removed, its just how the IOS works stop bitching, its not fake, the channels rearrage because hes maybe just doing a system restore of sorts, the wii must keep a date/system log for nintendo and hes used this to his adavntage yes the wad contains the system menu in it, but thats so the "system restore" has something to use, because the wii doesnt keep a whole set of kernal just for older IOS it keeps a subset kinda like a dummy i spos, as to not use memory maybe a 64byte key of the older IOS

its real people, look at what hes doen so far for us, waninkoko(sorry is spelt wrong) knows the wii inside out almost, dont put anything past him

Wait, what? Different icons for the channels... when?? The Mii channel icon has NEVER changed... EVER. And what i was pointing out was there was no Virtual Console titles on the 3.1 firmware Wii Menu, but when he "downgraded" to 2.1, Dragon Ball Z 3 was suddenly there.

It looks like this in 3.1

Disc, Mii, Photo, i can't tell the 4th
I think Nintendo Channel, Mario Kart?, Homebrew, Check Mii Out

then in 2.1 it looks like this

Disc, Mii, Photo, still can't tell
Nintendo maybe?, Mario Kart?, DBZ 3 (I have no idea how that's even there!), Homebrew
Second Homebrew channel, Check Mii Out, a second Photo

How did all the extra channels get there? That's 3 more channels than before...

Untill there is sound, and we can see the Wii involved, I'm calling it...

SHENANAGINS!

Both firmwares have different icons.....So there are new channels because he downgraded to 2.1 which had a different set of icons than 3.1.

Use you common sense zidane_genome.

You take all the banner by the same channel.
Wakinonko can install a chan with the banner of DBZ3 but not the contents of it.

Still, 3 more channels added to the list with that... just seems odd... when I do ONE wad installer, I usually only get ONE channel... for 3 new channels to appear, wouldn't there have to be 3 tickets installed, not just the one that was?

Downgrade or no Downgrade the file you erased by the Wii Memory can't return, then if when you have the 2.1, you install the A.wad, you unistall it, you upgrade and downgrade the Wii, the chan can't appear in the Wii Menu.

Those channels were channels that I had in another page hidden. They reappeared when I installed the older system menu.

Btw, I should try GC FreeLoader to see if it works

how did you get DBZ BT 3 not in the disc channel, and if you created with a banner maker, how did you get the banner off the disc

Nah, I just got DBZ BT3 opening.bnr from the disc and used it as banner for that channel.

See, now I am a little more hopeful about this... I couldn't see the other 2 pages of the Wii Menu, so I didn't know they were there... now I do, so it seems a little more plausible... But still, what's with the 2 Photo Channels? I'm guessing the second one is just a banner replacement as well?

Is there any way you can post a video that's a little more stable (a tripod, or set the camera down) or even with sound?
