Hacking Wii system files corrupted= brick?

i run the firmware updater 4.2, but it turns off my wii controller

it does that because you have no Trucha Bug in your IOS it sounds as if.

Actually that's what happens when an IOS is missing or stubbed...
Also, I'd stay away from that updater.

@Padoca85: What system menu were you using? If it was 4.2, it bricked because the old preloader wasn't compatible with 4.2. You can update to priiloader by downloading its installer and running it from the HBC.

now i need a step by step tutorial on how to install all the ios and stuff to run backup chanells
i used one a long time ago to update another wii, but coundt find something straigh forward for this news updates
