This is completely and utter speculation, but it would be awesome if it could somehow be tunneled automatically over wifi to whoever you are playing with.
Imagine playing battalion wars or mario kart with voice chat

To all posters wondering about a usb hub well EA/Harmonix/Pi have already provided one of those for the Wii and I'm almost gonna guess any USB hub would work since rock band's hub works in my computer. So I'm really unsure if added code would be needed for USB hubs for wii. I'm also curious since this is also a microphone, wonder if it would eb compatible with Rock Band or any of the other singing games on wii. Imagine online karaoke Revolution with one crowd singing against another crowd across the country. Interesting but probably won't happen. I think it is an interesting concept and well jsut think if you have a group of friends over and you're playing an online game and you all want to trash talk to the other players you can.

Man, this is just the strangest device. It just doesnt make sence thinking about how it works. I guess we will just have to wait. But honestly. How does it pick up your voice clearly from anywhere in the room, and like endogene said, how would it not pick up the sound of the TV? I dont understand how it could know how to cancel out the noise. These two things confuse me but what is most confusing is why Nintendo is deciding to do this. They always make it sound like its so freindly, you can just "hang out" and have a good time but really everyone's just gunna get angry and cuss at each other like on 360 or ps3. (I cant stand listing to people just contantly yelling random things online)

I think I may have figured out how wii speak filters out the tv its kinda how like a cordless phone has speaker but it doesn't make the horrible screeching noise i'm not sure how telephones work but I'm guessing it would be something like that.

Does anyone know if a any brand of Headset that is USB will work for the Wii, instead of using the Wii speak. I don't want my relatives walking in my conversations...I need my privacy.

I have a Logitech mic for the singing games... will that work the same as "WiiSpeak"?
