jabmaster2, after a game has been scrubbed, the updates are still intact.
All Wii disc's are the full 4.7gig. Nintendo fills the empty part of the disc with random, worthless data.
WiiScrubbing is the process of removing the un-needed, worthless data, so games like Animal Crossing Wii are 400Megabytes, instead of 4.7Gigabytes.
When removing the data, it is just replaced as 0's, so when it's compressed, you get the smaller size. When decompressed it will remain the full 4.7gig.
So, in short, Wii Scrubbed games are just a little faster to download, and will have no effect on game play.
*please note, this does not include Super Smash Bros. Brawl, as it is the only Dual Layer DVD game currently, and is over 9gig in total BEFORE scrubbing*
