So the disc drive on my Wii (bought somewhere in 2006 or 2007) has completely broken. Which new disc drive model should I get for full compatibility with my Wii, it's games, and any gamecube games? Many thanks.
I just replaced my dvd drive from a 2006 wii to a 2010 white wii, but didnt work. When I touch any disc in the drive, the console turns on, which means that has energy passing trought it. But the wii dont let the disc go into it. If i change back to the original 2010 wii drive, it works normally. Maybe if i change the logical unity of the drive? (i dont want it, cause I dont have much experience in soldering). Or maybe there is something that I made wrong?
