XFlak said:@jskyboo, MMM's app loader is useful if u want to load an app with a specific IOS instead of w/e IOS the HBC is running under.
I don't know much about NeoGamma but I know most of the other loaders allow you to easily switch the language a game uses on the fly. You can change the game language setting for the wii under the region changer in Wii Mod but this only changes some of the menus if the game you are loading is the NTSC release it may not have Japanese menus even if you change this setting. I don't really know much on forcing language changes but I tried this with Donkey Kong and although the menus when you press the home button and such were in Japanese, the game itself was still english, though that was likely cause I was loading my NTSC copy from the disc channel.diogovk said:I have an American wii, and I play Japanese games using NeoGamma.
But for some reason Donkey Kong texts are in english.
I searched the web, and I read about a guy that changed the country of the shop channel(in his case he changed from Japanese to English), and it also changed the language in the game.
So I would like to know if it is possible to change the language of shop channel to japanese, without having to install japanese menu.
Im not gonna say which loader you should use, there are plenty of them and lots of talks about them over at the Backup Loader section.diogovk said:@jskyboo yes, my neogamma has the menu option of forcing language. When running most Japanese games, neogamma automatically detects and launches it in japanese, but with donkey kong that didn't happen. Tried the "force language" option but no luck.
But I think my neogamma is preatty old. What loader would you recommend me to try?

Added Channel Version support
Changed the way patches are chosen

Oops. That was actually my bad. Just as Wii Mod can't launch itself, if the forwarder and it use the same memory the forwarder can't launch it. I changed the makefile, should work with the forwarder now. @airline38 Redownload and it should work again.airline38 said:Have tested the new "Apploader" a while in V1.8 . It's great !! (Good Job ,jskyboo)
But there is a small issue in the forwarder which made by Lenneth.
I found once I update the new boot.dol (v1.8), then the forwarder
won't work. (stuck in the loading screen) If I change boot.dol back
to v1.7 ,everything is back to normal.
Not sure what's wrong with the forwarder ? Did someone have the same
problem ?
jskyboo said:Well you guys asked for it so here it is Wii Mod now with Applauncher. This can be used to launch other apps with a different IOS than what HBC is running on, although note it cannot launch itself(and if you Google Google you can break the internet). Strangely I have no idea where the code for this originally came from, I've had it lying around in a folder on my comp marked "loaddol" for over a year. So if you know where this is originally from please let me know and I'll add proper credits(if they aren't already on the credits list). I also changed the way patches are selected, should speed some things up. Also I have updated installing channels to support channel versions and all legal titles supported by nusd, except boot2 since that is so dangerous I don't support that. So that means all system menus that are on NUS 2.0, 2.1, 2.2, 3.0, 3.1 are now supported, as well as BC, MIOS, EULA and more. Here is v1.8

Yes it is, im glad you noticed. Did you ever resolve your problem with Donkey Kong?diogovk said:LOL, is this from "The IT Crowd"?jskyboo said:(and if you Google Google you can break the internet).
Well first, it's "wiimod.txt" now. And second yes it has to be at sd:/wad/wiimod.txt. Creating and configuring the config file within the program would be difficult. Most of the input is simple but some is more complex like the SMB settings for instance. Making a way to set those easy, is well not easy. Although this really shouldn't be much of a problem as you aren't meant to be switching those settings each time you run the program. It's more likely you will figure out what you want the settings to be and not touch it for a long time. And the default settings should be pretty good for most people running in AHBPROT mode.airline38 said:@jskyboo, regarding the "SMB Share" function under "WAD Manager" ,
does the config file (wm_config.txt) must be put under sd:/wad ?
Is it possible to add a small option under the WAD Manager
to have user create/config wm_config.txt directly in the program ?
(no need to edit/create this file offline)
