Misc Wii Message Board calendar not displaying letters anymore(?)

I've noticed that the calendar feature of my wii message board is no longer displaying any letter icons on a given day, even on days with letters. What could I do to resolve this?

(Using a hacked wii with the usual stuff, no wii menu modifications. I don't use my wii very often as well)
