copied from wiibrew.org:

Wiiload is a method of loading .dol and .elf files over the network. If the icon in the very bottom right of the Homebrew Channel is lit up, it should work for you.

I think this could definitely lead to greater things

Was the "FUCKING AWESOME" needed?....blah anyway....

Nice release.

How could this lead to greater things? Its only an update of a program that already worked fine, correct?

Kind of useless imo. I'd stick with loading files from sd card. Most likely faster and more reliable.

Well, this will work for people who don't have SD cards... oh, wait... you still need an SD card to load this...

So, this does WHAT exactly? Yes, I know it loads Wii/Gamecube DOL/ELF files over a network, but all you'd need to do this before was FTPii... copy the ELF/DOL to the SD card, and poof, same thing!

It's good if your dol/elf is bigger than 2GB!

Wait....

What?

I think it can be useful if you don't like to repeatedly swap SD from computer to Wii

Well either way you'd have to walk between your Wii and computer wouldn't you?
Unless you're lucky enough to have them in the same room

THen it might be good
But mine stuff are like 3 rooms apart so I dont mind taking SD out each time

I have. But, well...I still prefer SD cards

Yeah...wait, no! I have to move metre from Wii to Comp! It's very tedious and tiring!

No...just joking...

The only thing that'll be greater is your ass, from not getting the small amount of exercise that it is to walk from your computer to your Wii.

Most homebrew that relies on external files still requires that the files be local on the SD card, so this doesn't really save anyone an SD card.

As far as having to swap the SD card is concerned, FTPii will let you dump everything on your SD card without taking it out.

my Wii and my PC sit on same table while i using a wireless sensor bar for TV.

So i guess its not really useful for me anyway

Well i guess Wiiloads good for people who develop homebrew, I wouldn't want to have to run it each time to play something

yeah it is, when you set up your DevKit environment you can make it so it sends your .dol over wiiload by pressing F5 i think and it boots it if your in the homebrew channel

MUCH quicker than compiling then putting it on your SD card and loading

eh.. wiiload has been around since the HBC came out.. it's far from anything special. useful yes, but I don't know what the hell the original poster is expecting this to do.

edit: uhm.. and from the looks of it, this is in fact the version that has been out at the beginning, there hasn't even been an update.

who has a file larger than 2gb? i use wiiload all the time because i beta test a lot of different program versions in a small time so you know, now what wiiload needs(maybe it would need to be coded into the homebrew) is to load your stuff from your PC, like guitar fun, to load the songs from your PC,(i have an SD card, im just getting sick of taking it in and out all the time

Then for you it maybe is useful, but for most people it's pointless. Really, I run Homebrew Channel few times in a week and that's it...
