any reason why my computer is saying that the Wii ISO is too large to put on my SD card when I know there is enough space for it? Or is it supposed to be a different format to be used with a USB loader?

Maybe because FAT32 doesnt support files larger than 4GB?
Try converting the .iso to .wbfs files instead using Wii Backup Manager.

Because the sd card is fat 32 and fat 32 can only have files smaller than 4gb put on them you need to either convert the sd card to wbfs or use a Windows program to convert the iso and split it in 2. Oops ninja'd

USB loader GX and similar loaders only accept .wbfs files not .ISO files, use wii backup manager
to put whatever game it is you are trying to play on your sd/usb, it´s way easier

And the reason you can´t put a 4GB+ file on an USB/SD is because of FAT32, Wii backup
manager divides the file if it´s too big for FAT32

...that is not true. USB Loader GX DEFINITELY supports ISO files. But yeah, like everybody else has been saying, FAT32 limitations.

Doesn't USB Loader GX also support NTFS? If I'm right, you can format your USB to NTFS and then you'll no longer need to deal with the 4GB FAT32 limit.

The OP just said USB loader and SD (presumably the Wii SD slot).
Specially, UBS Loader GX does not support SD (slot) loading for Wii games. It does support GC games loading from SD though (via Nintendont, DML or devo)
Wiiflow and cfgloader supports SD loading for Wii games.
The SD slot of Wii only support FAT32, no NTFS.

Yes, and be stuck with limited homebrew compatibilty and no GC game loading.
