I wonder, now is it possible to have the exploit load from DVD instead of Gamecube memory card slot?

Or at the very least, from the Wii's native SD slot.

    It's GC homebrew, so no.

(Wii DVD drive capability does not mean Native Homebrew)

    Scratch all of that.

    The answer is yes.

A disc based loader is coming soon, I can feel it. And so can my Wiikey.

They'll just have to inject a loader, like the Lego Star Wars Example

I'd like to see some SD card compatibility there (for both roms and saves)

    VERY cool!

I hope the Wii scene will soon explode with goodies....if most of the Wii games are crap, maybe the homebrew community can make up for it! [IMG]

Nice homebrew is cool. Like a full speed SNES emulator for example.
But I do hope that this will not result in a softmod loader for backupped games. That would hurt Wii game sales just too much.

No, actually. There needs to be another explot for loading illegal copies. The Twilight hack can only run homebrew.

Don't you think a softmod will be bad for the wii's lifetime, anyway?

Now for the real deal, something that can execute unsigned discs, modified discs. Not just backups, everyone has a chip so NOC about that, but I would like to be able to uncensor manhunt 2 and play that.

IMO.. it would be as bad for the Wii as mod chips are.. probably even less, using a soft mod could be more complicated than just installing a mod chip.. I mean, most people that I know that have a modded Wii, already bought it that way.. they had to do nothing..
