Any region changer will only re-installs IOS30 and SysMenu, you are not doing your homework dottor_male, if you want to get rid of CIOScorp just run/perform and update.

Well, to my knowledge, ARC reinstall everything... it's stated also in "How to make your Wii virgin again" http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=133557&hl=virgin

Who is wrong? (it's not sarcasm, it a serious question)

Yep that thread for Removing CISOCORP\Softmii for people is incorrect, Ether and I tried to get the Person that made the thread to fix their Info but he\she refuses to fix the info.

Just read all the post in that thread i think around page 4 or 5 and you'll see

I already post over there saying what was wrong about the tutorial but Zidane never listened to me, halso claims that you should delete any IOS above 200 cause those are hacked IOS, but I belive IOS254 is part of 3.4 update, you want your Wii virgin..??

update to 3.4 and go back to 3.2
Delete only IOS 249 - 248 - 247
Uninstall DVDx
Format your Wii

that's it...!!

Well, you are right!

Now that I remeber, I've never used ARC, only IOS downgrader and one time cIOS downgrader (and I don't remeber why...).

Maybe you, ether, should create a new thread with the correct instruction. Even using the search function, is the first page that open up. Even if it's simple as upgrading-downgrading-delete the cIOS-delete dvdx-format.

Well, now I'll put in my signature, that way I'll never forget it!

Well i know i don't post that much, cos i wont argue with people, and i'm used to rely on my comon sence(yeahh for my brain)
from reading the whole thread you said i really understand a lot more about those programs and the way to remove them.
so my common cense sais that you and ether are right, just by knowing how i installed everything and thus how it all works, its easy knowing what steps to take to remove it all(eventough i wouldn't have figured it out myself cos of the lack of knowlege bout programs like anytitle deleter) just the way it would work is common sence(at least for me) so finally i got an awnser to how to make my wii(and all other wii's that i've modded) a virgin again.

tnxx

quick question is my wii a virgin i ran arc then updated to 3.4 then formated afterwards zelda would not load so ran another update now zelda loads so do i still have to downgrade-delete the cIOS-delete dvdx-format. or am i done

ARC is not needed if you are going to upgrade, the cIOS and DVDx doesn't get erased by just formating, you need to remove them manually (not sure about DVDx); I would really recomend you to go back to 3.2 and check your games and your channels working properly before deleting the HBC or formating (you might need homebrew to fix your problem) if everything is working fine, then you can upgrade to 3.4 and then format or just delete the HBC...!!!

did that back on 3.2 u everything is working fine softmii'ed just wanted to try cause i keep hearing people having problems downgrading from 3.4u to 3.2u & softmii softmii works fine if u follow the instructions i skipped this part (12) Run HBC (HomeBrew Channel) Now select SoftMii Nand Browser and Load the app. Once loaded please
navigate to the following directory: TITLE/00000001/00000002/ - Now press up on the dpad 3 times and then press A. - Now you need to select your original system menu app file. If you are NTSC , the file is 00000042.APP or if you are PAL, the file is 00000045.APP. Press the + button once you highlight your regions app and it will then be copied to the SD card. Press HOME to ext the app once file written to SD msg idid everything like it says but i dont get 00000042.APP file its cool though everything else is fine

that is just for changing some of your graphics, not really useful unless you like to change the way your menu looks..!!
