Greetings,

I'm having some trouble lately with some of the games in my Wii. When playing, the savegames are being written to the internal memory (or so it seems), but when I reboot and come back later the game was not saved. This is relatively new (a month or so, and I've tried the following):
- Using another slot in the savegame (e.g Kirby's return to Dreamland)
- Removing the savegame: here I've got some particular results... Long story short, I had an external HDD for some time and it broke at done point. I lost my Kirby game (or so I thought) when migrating to the new HDD. When I tried removing the game from the data management menu of the original Wii menu, I got my old savegame back! Unfortunately, the problem persisted, and bad news, I am no longer able to remove the savegame (does not appear in data management menu)
- Savegame Manager GX: I tried using that app, hoping that I would be able to remove the other savegame, but when I try to execute the tool I get an ISI Exception...

At this point I'm wondering if I should start over, clear my SD card, etc etc..... I would definitely like to avoid this.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello.:)

as I read between the Lines, your Wii is softmodded.
(You used SaveManager GX).

That also means maybe you load your Games with an USBLoader (GX) ?

If YES you maybe have the emuNAND Save Option enabled and nearly all your Game Saves go to the SD Card:\nand\title\00010001 Folder.

Please have a look on this.

Thank you.:)

Also if he uses neek the emuNAND may be stored in a different folder (apparently it will also check in "nands")

Hi,

Yes, my Wii is softmodded. The savegames are currently in the Wii's internal memory by default. I tried using emuNAND in partial mode, but without success. I am not using NEEK on my console. My games are launched from usb loader GX.

Hope this clarifies the issue!

Thanks!

Please use THIS Version of the SaveGame Manager GX:

SaveGame Manager GX Beta r76

https://sourceforge.net/projects/savegame-manager-gx-beta/

Version r127 is not really "usable"....:(

If you have PRIILOADER installed (I hope so),then please check in the "System Menu Hacks" for

Remove NoCopy Save File Protection is set to "enabled".

Thank you and
Good Luck.:)

Hi,

Thanks for your help, now The savegame manager GX now works perfectly. I wasn't however able to find my Kirby savegame, on the SD card or in the Wii NAND (even though the game has a savegame somehow). I installed the hacks in priiloader and enabled the remove nocopy save file protection as well. Result: I experience the same failure, whether I choose partial emuNAND emulation or using the Wii NAND directly.

Any new suggestion is kindly welcome. I'm wondering what kind of radical move I will have to do to make this work again :-S

Thanks for your great support!

Maybe it is really a good Idea,to use ModMii to Update your Softmod -> Homebrew Channel 1.0.0 running on IOS0 :O

Are you familiar with the Update Process ?

If you need Assistance and/or Help please feel free to ask.:)

Hello,

It is an old version of syscheck, which he used ==> sysCheck v2.1.0b13 by Double_A and R2-D2199
... works on IOS58 (rev 6176).

this version of Syscheck would be more suitable (better result) ==>https://gbatemp.net/threads/posting-a-system-check.300279/

Thanks everyone, my hack was indeed out of date!

Here's a new SysCheck that I have done after the update. Please note the following:
- My problem was not soled through the update
- I've noticed that the system menu hacks in priiloader are not saved to the nand. Any ideas?

Thanks for your help!

The only Thing I know to "check" your NAND is BootMii and the Backup Function of it.There you can see if maybe TOO MANY Blocks are actual "BAD".:(

Hi,

I made a backup of my NAND through BootMii, and good news, I don't have any bad sectors on my NAND. I've also managed to save the system menu hacks in Priiloader, but I have still issues with my Kirby savegame, with the NAND or emuNAND.

I am considering nuclear options here, such as either re-softmod the whole console, delete all the savegames from the NAND, or any other suggestion. This pesky bug is starting to piss me off. Thanks for your great support by the way, I've at least learnt a bunch of things about my Wii :-).

Suggestions, please!

Hi folks,

I FINALLY found what was the issue! When fidgeting with the EmuNAND options in USB GX Loader, I realized that the global value for EmuNAND was not "No emulation", but "Partial emulation". Turns out that I have the issue when EmuNAND is being used. When I use the NAND from the Wii, everything works perfectly!

That being said, what does that indicate for my EmuNAND? Do I have corrupted file on my SD card, or the emulation is not working with all Wii games? If I have a corrupted file, how to fix it?

Thanks again for your great support!
