It took me a little while to notice, but after i did, i cant unsee it anymore. The Wii originally outputs a 720x480 signal, which is terrible if you're outputting to a monitor that can display it pixel-perfectly (not CRTs) because this resolution is supposed to be squashed by the TV to look normal, if you play at 1:1 on a flat panel like me, you will get square pixels but with ovals instead of circles because that resolution uses rectangular pixels.

So, my question is: Is it possible to modify the width of the framebuffer to make the Wii output a 640x480 signal instead of a 720x480 one? (just like you can do on Nintendont) so it would actually have the proper aspect ratio without squashing the picture on those monitors?
