What can I say? It's not like it's miles better than RB2, but it has the extra little things (pausing don't cause you to lose a streak, unobtrusive bonus challenges during songs, ...). Undecided on the track list, though.

+Donkey Kong Country Returns
I just LOVE this game. It's different enough to not be 'just' a DKC sequel, but manages to capture all the good points those games had. Those mine ride stages may be insanely hard, but if you fail, you just want to keep on trying again and again until you beat them.
The only minor IMO are the boss fights. More often than not, you're just trying to not die while the boss is doing some hard-to-avoid moves, and where you have to hit him JUST at the right time...or miss it and wait a lot while he does some more stuff.

+1 The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Pricess
+1 Arc Rise Fantasia
+1 Castlevania: Judgement
+1 Super Smash Bros Brawl

+1 to donkey kong country returns,
Goldeneye007,
Ivy the Kiwi,
Kirby's Epic Yarn,
Mario Kart wii,
Mario SuperSluggers,
Red Steel 2

etc.

After playing some games, my top 5 are the following:

Super Mario Galaxy

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

No More Heroes

The Conduit

Grand Slam Tennis

Agree with this 100%. The game overall was quality. A true return to the olden days of platforming where you looked forward to the sequel. I hope they make another in a year or two akin to my childhood days when I'd be not very patiently waiting for the new mario/dk/starfox game to come out.

And agree on all counts, some hard stages that you just can't stop playing until finished.
And the bosses were without doubt the shitest part of the whole game. In particular, the very last boss. Bosses should be difficult, but not just plain irritating, and thats all the final boxx was. You'd wait an age till you get a chance to hit him, then miss and have to dodge him again, it was just boring and pointless and did not fit with the rest of the game. And the final boss took me about 40 lives to do.

Now just gotta keep going to 100% (or whatever extra it is for this game), I'm at 91 so far

+1 Mini Ninjas

Though the DS version was horrid, the console version -- namely the Wii version -- is quite a gem.

+1 Boom Blox Bash Party Edition (great party game)
+1 Muramasa: The Demon Blade
+1 Disaster Day of Crises
+1 Donkey Kong Country Returns

Muramasa: The Demon Blade

How about some more love for Metroid Prime: Trilogy?
