my wii has stopped loading/ejecting dvd. have dismantled it and notice there is no loading mechanism spinning on power on/off. feeding a dvd into the mouth does nothing...it does not load dvd. Pressing the eject button does nothing either, no movement.
I have checked the two fuses on the dvd pcb for continuity with a digital multimeter, both are fine.
is it possible the eject/load motor is burnt ? was thinking to feed voltage directly to the motor to see if it spins.....
what else could cause the dvd to not load/eject discs...that can be checked next....

confirmed
- both 0603 fuse on dvd pcb board are OK
- eject/loading motor works by supplying voltage directly to it
- loading mechanism teeth work by rotating motor spindle (or pulling the rubber belt)

but there is no movement at all when press eject button/during press the power button/or pushing a dvd in

what could be the issue ?

Hello.:)

Maybe the Eject Button itself has an issue.I never had such things, so unfortunately I have no experience in repairing this.

But maybe this helps you a little:
https://www.instructables.com/id/Fix-Repair-Nintendo-Wii-Power-Reset-Sync-E/

It says from an SMD tactile button which is broken.

Good Luck.:)

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
