Homebrew Wii CD-i Emulator

Ya Know this post has 1,600 views, Yet no responses to the question; Is it possible to add the MESS CD-I driver in the MAME port for wii? Could it have .ISO support, or would a person have to use .chd? Would it be wise to remove the drivers for all the arcade machines to optimize the emulator? Could it have a cool GUI written in libwiigui?

There is reasonable emulation for every system Nintendo has for the Wii, except Virtual Boy which is in the works. The way I see it CD-I emulation on the Wii is the next logical step, being as there are licenced Nintendo Games on it. For me I always looked it as the Snes CD that never was.

It would be awesome, but even CD-i emulation on the PC is very buggy. There's so many models that it would be hard to get a lot of things running. I just liked that pinball game with the robot board. You know, the one where it was super-easy to get infinite points.

Okay, I'm at least trying to get CD-i emulation running on PC. Any luck with CD-i on... well... anything!?

EDIT: Need crack for 0.5.3beta1 or source code, which may come sooner or later.

IF anyone is going to write a CD-i emulator, good luck...
i was a sucker many years ago and purchased it and had to purchase the FMV cartridge and great expense too...
still got it kicking around in the box somewhere as with most of the titles that came out for it

ZELDA was terrible but at the same time it wasn't too bad...!!!
don't forget HOTEL MARIO aswell

i have the full and working cd-i emulator on my computer with a couple of the zelda titles. They're awful...

Honestly, I love the CD-i. Zelda was both bad, and good. And I remember a few animators.
