any info on the status of "litehtml" adaptation for this browser?

Sorry, I might have slowed him down a little with a sidequest of mine. The downloader plugin we've been battin' around is nearing completion, and soon wiiflow users should be able to download themes, source menus, music, emulators and more, directly through wiiflow. I would guess that normal operations should resume in a day or so.

first of all this project is so f**kn awesome i rarely use my computer now:D but there are two problems. one your official project site doesn`t work from your browser. And two i can`t download stuff from my cloud (google Drive). if you could fix these things (mainly the first one) that would be awesome

gave92 Just got off work, sittin in the tub with my wiiu pad. Got a couple questions. Have you had a chance to add what we talked about? Also been wondering just how different is the plugin version than the stand alone app? Could I put the plugin in apps/wiibrowser and use it like normal, or vice versa? And what should happen if I'm using the plugin to download something, and the app version is set to update?

drakorex Yep, I added support for rar/7z files and the removing of the unzipped file, right now only in the SVN,
a compiled version will be available shortly.

There's very little difference between the two versions:
the plugin one is faster when starting or exiting than the other as it does not load and save history, cookies..
I have to say I don't remember if it checks for updates :)

gave92 Awesome, thanks! Oh, one more very important thing. If the path specified in the shortcut does not exist, can Wiibrowser create that path?

Anyway, thanks again. Progress is coming along with my stuff too. Can't wait to get everything set up!

Yes it can or better it will: note that the "DownloadFolder" path in the shortcut file is currently ignored.

Oh it is?? I wasn't aware of this. In the readme it states that this is optional and currently not used, but I didn't think it was completely ignored, just that it took manual creation of the shortcut folder and files. Which means the shortcuts I've created to test won't work correct?

ah ok. Thanks for the clarification, and man this shit is driving me crazy, regular altervista.org works, redirects me to it.altervista.org and searching for wiibrowser on there shows up with many results, yours being the first, every other altervista page opens for me except yours IDK wtf!?

Sometimes I wish I could turn my brain off. Something MassiveRican said the other day got me thinking.

Some people have either sd or usb only setup. Is there any way that Wiibrowser could detect what device the shortcut is launched from and download to that device instead of having to make two different setups?

Perhaps something likeDeviceAutoDetect=on/off in the app version settings that would let us get rid of the sd/usb specification in the shortcut.

Users with both devices would still need a copy of the setup on each device, so wiiflow can launch them, but this would save alot of path changing.

drakorex I'm not sure I got it, an example?

Forgot to answer you, LightyKD:
still no luck with the LiteHTML engine, I got it to work with WiiBrowser but it's slow and sometimes the rendering
is worse that the actual (text overlapping, no <form>s..).
However it's actively developed, I may contact the coder to get a clue about his plans/timings.

*facepalms* I'm not sure how much more clearly I can explain it...

In a nutshell, when you launch a shortcut, can wiibrowser be made aware of where it was launched from, and then imply that as the download device, so that only one set of shortcuts must be made?

So instead of
DefaultFolder = sd:/wiiflow/themes
it can be
DefaultFolder = wiiflow/themes

yes except it would be a web page and updated in real time instead of waiting for someone to update it. Every user would be able to browse the latest apps/themes/demos and download them directly to their sd/usb.
I thought about doing something like that...
