Savemiifrii may help if you have a GameCube controller as mentioned previously.

Not likely, as it requires at least a partially working system menu IIRC.
Installing an older/newer system menu without installing the corresponding IOS means the system menu cannot boot at all.

Generally speaking, I suggest u use modmii to soft mod your wii, as it will teach u lots in the process
