Hacking Wii Bricked! NEED HELP!

so...if Im understanding, you had nothing useful at all installed on your wii and just installed some wads?


nevermind I see you had preloader but it is now running off a stub IOS.

"most" unbricking methods predate stub IOS, and if you stub a sysmenu IOS you are using, only BootMii can save you.

And like others already said, send it to Nintendo and tell them something went wrong while updating. They'll probably fix it for free

Call Nintendo, tell them you updated to 4.2 and when you restarted the Wii, it was bricked.

You might get it fixed for free. You have nothing to lose by trying. There is no possible way to fix your Wii with a stubbed system menu.

Do you have Preloader installed?

If you do:

Go to the homebrew channel through Preloader. If the screen is upside down, try to bare with it. You're going to need to get an application called Firmware Updater v4.2, by Waninkoko. Boot the application in the homebrew channel. When it starts, follow all the prompts on the screen. When it is done installing (it might take a long long time), your Wii should be fixed. What this does is update your firmware to the latest one. It installs only the essential things, like shop channel, system menu, and IOS. Also it's basically installing a brand new shop channel, system menu, and IOS so your Wii will be fixed.

If not:

I recommend a handy device called a SaveMii. You are also going to need a legit Wii game with later update data on it.

Don't use 4.2 updater by waninkoko. He fake signed practically every IOS.

2.Hide your wii some where safe but easily accessible

3.Then when he or she leaves the room swop the wii's over and hide your new wii

4.Look shocked when your friends wii seems to not work

Go to kijiji and buy a wii for like 60 bucks! YES! SERIOUSLY PEOPLE SELL IT FOR THAT MUCH!
