I tried the Wii settings menu without any peripherals, but no luck. I'm a little surprised as I ran the Modmii wizard and specified no theme, just the boring old system menu, but that part didn't happen. Not sure why. One thing I should point out. When my Wii comes on, all my old stuff is there. I have the usbloader, Nintendont, Wiiflow, and so on, I thought the Modmii files would "reset' or "remod" back to the basics. My homebrew channel is now just one screen with 5 options whereas before it was 4 screens with loads of different apps so that part was changed. I don't see Boot2 anywhere. Lastly, in the upper right corner it says 1.1.2 and IOS58 v24.32, does that sound right?

Hello.:)

Is it maybe possible that your Wii was Region Changed earlier with ARCMod06 ?
I had an "similar" Issue since I updated a 4.1E to 4.3E Wii and made an Region Change with that Tool to 4.2U.

After that I was no longer able to Access the Internet Settings (Black Screen). After reverting back to 4.3E it worked again.:)

Only a Thought.....
Thank you.:)

Are you saying you still have a custom theme installed? If so, something went wrong during the install WADs step and some wads didn't install (including the new system menu)

Try running and sharing a Syscheck with us
https://gbatemp.net/threads/posting-a-system-check.300279/

Edit: if u have other channels installed from your old soft mod you can uninstall these from the wii's data management menu (if u could access it). Alternatively, u could delete them using the "any title delete" homebrew app or equivalent (obv be careful what u delete because u can brick this way)

Edit2: when u ran the hackmii installer, you should have installed the HBC, bootmii as IOS, and some older wii's are able to install bootmii as boot2. If you can't, the installer will tell u that it can't be installed to boot2 but only as IOS. If you have bootmii installed as boot2 and a nand backup u are pretty much brick proof, in which case we can try more aggressive solutions

I don't know if it was region changed as it's been on 4.3U for years. How did you revert back? Just in case that applies to me. :-)

I have the syscheck results. Do I post them here or create a new thread? The pic for the spoiler tag example does not display for me.

Just post them here, preferably with a spoiler if u can get it to work

Also, you can try opening the syscheck with modmii and it will tell if u missed anything (although if you're still on 4.3 ModMii won't suggest a SM change)

Edit: re region changing you can use modmii for that too. You could run it and "change" to U region, even though u are there already, it will reinstall some other system files (like BC and Region Select) and have you confirm/update some region settings with ARC Mod. It's actually not a bad idea as a next thing to try

U r still on 4.3. But everything else seems to have installed. U sure you didn't use the first set of files you generated with modmii?

U already have the IOSs installed needed for 4.1 or 4.2, so u just need to install one of those wads (4.1U system menu or 4.2U) then reinstall priiloader immediately after

Which wad? Does it begin with IOS41...or is it something like c.IOS222[38]-v4.wad?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I don't see anything with SystemMenu in the name of these wad files in Multi Mod Manager

Then u must be using the old WAD folder. Either rerun the wizard and choose 4.2 or 4.1 to get it, or download it manually from one of Modmii classic's download pages

I reran the wizard and got the exact same files even though 4.1 was selected. I deleted and tried again, same thing. Where can I grab the 4.1U system menu wad? My google searches are not leading to much success.

FINALLY. I downloaded the 4.1u and installed that and the Priiloader right afterwards. I have the regular menu and I can finally get into Wii Settings. I'll add my old stuff back later. I can't thank everyone enough, especially Xflak for all their time in guiding through this. Very grateful!!

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Should I upgrade to 4.3u or just leave it as is?

RC24 won't work on 4.1 or 4.2 if everything else is up to date?
Ahh, correction, from RC24:

In order to use Wii Mail you must be on Wii Menu version 4.3, otherwise it won’t work.

Wii Mail includes things like friend ghosts in Mario Kart Wii and friend credits in Metroid Prime 3, along with messaging
