I'll add 2 versions to the template folder then, CVS 2003 and CVS 2007. I'm using Office 2003 where the semi colons don't work.
I was just about to suggest that^^.

Oh btw CVS vs CSV ;-)

LOL, obviously..

Did you select the ISOs you want to copy? ie. tick the boxes..

The right click->copy hasn't been implemented yet..

1. Select your drive on the drive 1 page.
2. Add your ISOs on the files page and select->all or whatever you want.
3. On the files page, Copy selected to..->Drive 1.

I never disable anything in the "Drive" menu, so i think this is what you need?

That did help, thanks. I think you could simplify this by starting with the Drive tab and adding a button called "Add Game" or something similar.

Also, dragging and dropping an ISO onto the drive list would kick ass. Keep up the good work.

My Excel 2007 does not read comma seperated values correctly, displays the whole line in the first column, that's why i used semicolons. Another strange design decision from our friends in redmond. They should call it ssv ;-)

edit: guess i should've read the readme

.. your export template plans sound very nice, hope you find the time to implement them.

You can choose the seperator in the import screen. Could even be a dot or a question mark. At least this is how I do it in Office 2008.

Known bug: When the block size of the destination drive is larger than the source, the progress will be off a little.

That includes copying from ISO just now. It should be an easy fix.

I think so too.

@xflak40
2 gig is the max size for use on the Wii because that's the maximum seek size just now, until someone changes it to 64 bit.

@Knocks
I'll add drag n drop at some point.

that's true, but when i open a csv with double click, the default separator is the semi colon

thanks, I'll keep it to 2gb split for now

@ pontomedon

open the file w/ excel, go to Data --> text to columns, select delimited width, select your seperator (comma, semi-colon, or any symbol u want), then click finish

if u already knew this, sorry for the redundancy

@everyone about the excel issue,
all this discussion about semi colon and colon, or any separator will be a never ending story.
this all depends on the regional settings of your computer.

I believe it should not be hard to modify the export file depending on your setting.
or maybe fig2k4 will add a variable for that purpose.. who knows..

@fig2k4,
sorry been a while.
my two test comp crashed.
and I could only get online on my BB.. lol
pretty hard to read and answer forums on that.. lol.

I will be testing your latest release tomorrow as soon as all my apps are up.
quite a progress since last time !
I was amongst the people with cover download issues, so I will revert on that.

about progress, I was wondering if you had plans to implement WDF format.
it is pretty well documented (thanks to wiimms)
and storing WDF files on computer would ease it for the block/cluster issues.
(I am fully aware that I am only talking storing... not using)
please don't take that as an official request. I was simply wondering.

Cheers,
R

0.2.4 does not detect my C drive that has .wbfs on it. 0.2.1 does. The program is not being launched from the C drive in either of these instances, if that matters at all.

Just adding to your list of things to do! Glad I'm not a programmer

I was looking at it the other day, I'll give it a try. No timescale on that though.

My bad. In Windows 7, I have a 100MB system drive that Windows creates when installing. This was showing up in the drive list, so I skipped the first drive while I was testing. I just forgot to comment out that code. Anyone with XP etc. won't see the first drive in the list. Luckily for most, it'll be their system drive anyway..

(on XP, will upgrade soon to 7) C is my Boot but not my System. How confusing is that

I need to research how to move my MBR.

not urgent.. I was just wondering.

about drives.
what do you think about adding an entry in the settings
"ignore these drive letters : abcde...."
this could be helpful for some people.

I just started testing the new version.
I love the logs.
really neat idea to make it.

Yeah, I could make a list like the cover countries and sources, but it doesn't need to be sortable.

I was thinking about an idea to let you still use the app for other things while copying games to the drives and the batch cover downloads in the background. Do you think this looks ok?
The progress panel will only be visible when needed.

why do you make it "so" complicated, for you I mean ?
give yourself a break and simply put an edit field that we can fill if needed. (once again, just my 2 cents

)
but I am sure you will make it like the covers anyway.. lol..

I only have one comment for that :

this will even solve on request I had previously.. if you do that we will be able to minimize the window when it is working..
this is awesome.

It's not really complicating it, it's just that drive letters won't be good enough since you can use drives that don't have letter assigned. For example, I want to ignore "\\?\Volume{566527a7-8bde-11de-83cc-806e6f6e6963}" which I display as "HarddiskVolume1". That's the system drive I mention earlier.

you are right.. did not think of that.
I am still reading the post that I missed.
and did not test yet the possibility of using this feature.

head's up: setting the split size to 2gb-32kb is a more optimal size, i will change it in next wbfs_file version to that. 32kb because it is cluster and wii sector aligned, so it loads a little bit faster when playing the game.
I think the speed difference is not so huge that it justifies re-creating all the files, but the fact is that 2gb-32kb is more optimal.

fig2k4,

just a heads up.. although I am pretty sure you are already keeping an eye on CFG topic.
oggzee seems to believe that the split size that was choosen is not optimal.
it is still pending some test.. but I thought it was important enough for you to know in advance.
see here

Cheers,
R

edit : lol.. oggzee you were faster than me... lol
