Hacking Wii backup Manager for Windows

Help, I dl the newer version 0.4.3 built 68 (x64) I tried copying games from one drive to another but it will not let me copy games over 4 gig to the other drive. I have an older version 0.3.8 build 61 and the games over 4 gig copy over fine. I have all the same settings on both version but it still won't work on the newer version. The main setting keep game partition only is selected. Like the newer version don't want to go back to the older version.

Finding the same thing on (v0.4.3 build 68) (64)... test subject COD BO, tried transferring about 4 times... Went back to 0.4.1 build 66 and no probs...

thanks so much for your work fig... truely makes old tedious wbfs drives seem outdated and my kid digs having everything all on the one drive...

Thanks for the report, I'll try to reproduce this today. It should be easy enough because it seems like it's quite consistent with games over 4 gig.

I have a feeling this is somehow caused by the progress updates, rather than anything to do with the actual data copying.

One thing I've learned about Delphi XE2 is that it doesn't like divide by zero errors. Previous versions of Delphi weren't very strict with floating point divide by zero, but now they can bring the app to it's knees. I need to get out of the bad habit I've had for years of not checking for these. The problem might be related to the new way things are handled in the Delphi XE2, that were valid in previous versions.

Edit: I just tested with SSBB and I get an error "Invalid access to memory location". It's definitely only happens with x64. It shouldn't take too long to fix hopefully, because I know which function it happens in now..

The problem was because of something that's changed in XE2.

I always chose to use something like "inc(cardinal(ptr),4)", but this doesn't work in x64 because a cardinal is a 32 bit unsigned integer. Pointers in x64 are unsigned 64-bit integers. Hi

Some rar'ed Wii games just do not appear on the extracted list. All my games are in the same directory on the PC e:\downloads2\Wii Games\*.* I don't understand why, there are a number of them that do not automatically get included in the games list, I can add them manually though. So... I am missing a bunch of games out of the 160 that I have now. I have tried Wii Backup Manger version 3.8 and 4.68 and they both behave the same way, unfortunately.

Examples of games that are not automatically unrar'ed are:

The default directory that I have setup to search for games in is e:\downloads2\Wii Games\ and it's setup to search recursively, but it's not getting these games and I don't understand why. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? I shouldn't have to redownload from a different source looking for .iso's or wbfs's to fix this problem. It should be noted that the external usb hardrive is formated fat32. As far as I understand Wii Backup Manger automatically deals with rar's, iso's, games over 4Gig and splits them into two wbfs files, correct me if I am wrong here.

Just extract them first. If they're not ISO files you're not saving any space because you can't compress cISO or WBFS and further than it already it. If they are ISO's then you should really convert them to WBFS or cISO anyways to save yourself some space.

Try to add the folder again, then send me the full log so I can see what's happening. There must be a good reason why it's not adding the games and I'll see it from the log.

This is tstwitter, I tried doing a quote/reply to an above thread but the reply died after pasting my Wii Backup Manger Full Log, so I am going to try this instead.

Issue is, I seem to be missing games off the Files Games List (first tab) even though the rar's in question are in the initial search folder with recursive search enabled. Search folder is e:\Downloads2\Wii Games . First thing I did was load Wii Backup Manager 4.3.68 and let it do a search (wait), then I try to manually reload the folder e:\Downloads2\Wii Games , it does not find any new/more games.

I have not manually un'rar'ed the games because I did not want the games to take up double the space. As well, I am seeding all these games in Utorrent to share with the community.

The example games that are missing are:

Kirby_Epic_Yarn
Go Vacation
Kirbys Return To Dreamland

But those games DO show up as File Found in the Full Log, they just don't seem to be transferring to the Files Games List on the first tab. Strange. It should be noted that these games CAN be manually loaded using the Files add files command of the menu, and tranfer to my external hard drive and are playable, so these rar's are not corupt, they just don't get automatically picked up in the folder search function. A rar is a rar so it's strange that this is happening. I have pasted my Full Log below for review, thanks!

Can't add any more of the Log without getting "Your post was too long. Please go back and shorten it a little." errors . Unsure where else I could put the log.

And if i remeber correctly, people told you to first unrar the files and then load them in WBM, afaik WBM only reads game images..not rar files.
Mmm, after reading what WBM can do on FIG's website...it seems WBM can read RAR files directly...so forget my previous comment..hopefully FIG can tell you what can be the problem.

Could you attach the log file to an email? I really need to see all of it to be able to tell what's happening. [email protected] would be fine.
