Hacking Wii backup loader that supports DVD+RW discs

the loader really doesnt matter. you will need a cIOS that supports rewritable DVDs. then any loader can use that IOS. im not sure if any IOS does support that though.

I was under the impression that it was the drive it self that had trouble reading the rw discs. Something to do with the disc's not reflecting the laser that well.

What types of DVDs are supported? My external hard drive apparently is not compatible with any of the USB loaders

High quality DVD-R and high quality DVD+R(when bitset to DVD-R). cIOSrev9 and 10 have a different hardware compatibility than 13,14,15. Did you try one cIOS of both groups?
