Its possible. right?
As in the instant messenger?
Opera -> Meebo.com
And... it's actually quite a bad idea. (No offense) After trying it... it's a pain in the ass. Even with keyboard support...
an actual program is what i want. i mean i want to type what i want and press enter. instead, i have to get my wiimote and click a bunch of shit.
Probably more interesting (to me) would be a Wii IRC client similar to the one the Dreamcast had...
IT DID?????!!!?? wow yeah, that would be rad!! i hate that mibbit shit
If it can be done on the DS it sure as hell can be done on the Wii but that does not mean someone will actually go ahead and do it.
yeah i know.. its just a matter of time i hope
I wouldn't really see how aim would work on the Wii unless you use a keyboard but then again its better on your pc.
I really don't see the point personally since it would be the only thing running on your wii... im is good on pc since it runs in the background.
If it's to get AIM on your TV, well I still don't see that...but then granted, I can hook my laptop up to my tv anyways.
You could just use aimonpsp.com using the opera browser. Not the same, but a decent substitute imo
Forget AIM give me IRC!
It'd be neat to have AIM running on a Wii, but it'd be about as practical as a shower cap on a trout.
Once SoftChip goes alpha I'll consider starting an IRC client.
www.mibbit.com lets use use Yahoo! IM and IRC servers on your Wii.
Thta would only be useful if you had no other option. Using the webbrowser is hard enough in my opinion.
rather just use the P.C. to be honest
It can be done 100 ways, but it is deffo crap.
Showercap on a trout hit the nail on the head for me
I think wii should have a system kinda like the 360 where you are easily able to communicate with other gamers.
AIM? I dunno, maybe a custom wii messenger would be better.
One serious downfall of the wii is the lack of being connected with other players elsewhere.
