    Hi,
Wondering if anyone could help. My friend updated my PAL Wii to 4.0E through the Nintendo update and I do not have the homebrew channel installed. I have Cyclowiz mod and need to downgrade as half my backups do not work anymore (as expected with this update). I know it is essential to have the Homebrew Channel installed but I was wondering if there was another way. I have 'WAD Installer' installed on my Wii still. Could I use this to install the HBC or does this use the same principle as the Twilight hack?
I know that HBC is 100% required and a new 4.0 hack is being worked on, but I could not find any posts with my query.
    Thanks

First of all, Please dont post the same topic 3 times.
Second of all, if you have wad installer as a channel yes you can get HBC back.

I usually read these post by replacing the word "Friend" with "I updated my own Wii and now i'm to embarressed to own up to the fact"

you could try to install a gecko os wad. if that's working you could try to spoof a hbc wad file into a mkw-disk and install hbc that way -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9BBqwdp60xY.

i think you can only install wads if you have a cios wad installer can use.

please feel free to correct me.

    €dit:
just came to my mind you don't need all the mkw-disk file replacement. just install a hbc-wad with wad installer. you'll get a middle finger but hbc should work.

but i am not sure if that will work because i don't know if wad installer makes use of a cios like wad manager does.

Tried installing with wad installer and failed to install. Is there any other way. I used the HBC wad given in the link posted previously
