When you eat carbohydrates, insulin tells you cells to turn them into energy.
If you don't move enough and eat to much carbohydrate rich food you cells can start to ignore the insulin, as you don't need the energy.
At first your body will just produce more insulin, but this obviously is only a temporary solution.
After that you will get the normal symptoms of diabetes. This is called type 2 diabetes.
Sport activities can prevent this and even better you condition if you already have diabetic symptoms.
