Actually it comes from the NES era

Nintendo wanted to make a Mike Tyson Punch out 2 but since he was in prison they stopped production... some other random company took what was started of the project and made POWER PUNCH 2 (there never was a power punch 1... only to make you say that this is the non-official release of Mike Tyson Punch-out)

Who thought it would be a good idea to make a Wii successor to an unsuccessful "sequel" of a NES classic, that recently had a Wii sucessor...?!
Do they really think they'd have a chance today?!

Despite the fact that the original Power Punch 2 on the NES was a piece of crap, it's possible that this new Punch Out clone might be fun. I'm going to give it a try when I get back from my business trip and I'll post my findings here.

Hi

one video here :

That don't seems to be a punch out clone.
It's compatible WM+

This game is a clone of the Hajime no Ippo or Fighting Spirit games from PS2.

Power Punch is made by Grand Prix, the team behind Victorious Boxers Revolution (PS2).

From the video this game looks to be the exact same, Peter Matthews special uppercut is even the exact same as
Ippo's special uppercut from the PS2 games.

I loved those games and will be grabbing this also.

Is actually a copy of the Wii version, Victorious Boxers Revolution was for Wii, not PS2. The one for PS2 were call Victorious Boxers: Ippo's Road to Glory and Victorious Boxers 2: Fighting Spirit. They change the character and added some improvements to the game (Wii motion plus), but underneat everything is still simply a slightly 'improve' (in control department at least) and changed (at least in characters, mode, etc, etc) version of Victorious Boxers Revolution that was release on the Wii.
