Works for me using Gecko OS on 3.2E PAL but will not go any further than the 1st level ... just says error please remove disc etc.... at the end of level 1...
must need some IOS files?? any ideas??

I have a 1st gen Wiikey btw with launch day Wii still going strong

Works fine with USB loader ultimate. But the lang must be changed to eng if you are on a JPN/EU wii or it will hang with a green screen. Passed 1 lvl without hiccups..

What did they change in this version besides nixing the bongos?

I picked up 2 sets of bongos on closeout new from ebgames for 5$ each.

How many games supported them and what were they?

All the Donkey konga music stuff, the jungle beat.. as far as i know,
But the arrangement is simple, the Bongos substitute the buttons XY/ AB , and the clap I think R+L toghether, you can test it, but you dont get the analog.. so otehr than punch adn kick, you can t do much on Soul Calibur...

I never played the Game Cube version.. started playing this one and I'm liking it a lot

It's a pretty fun platform game, shaking is used to clap and punch things and it fits the game pretty well IMO, boss fights are a little tiresome since you have to shake the controls a lot, also, even being from 2004, the game looks better than most Wii games

So, if you never played the original game, you might enjoy this.. if you had, you might be a little disappointed. But, like some people pointed, you can get the original GC disc and some bongos used for a low price if you want that.

Now, I'm curious to know how would you move and jump using the bongos?

slapping the left bongo makes you go to the left,slapping the right bongo makes you go to the right,slapping both makes you jump
clapping makes you attack... to be fair it sounds kinda awkward

Sounds awkward, but it really is more fun to play with the bongos. Once you get good and can pull off the big combos it's fun to go back and figure out where you can get really high scores. It's just not as enjoyable for me with the Wii controls.

Big Fan of the Gamecube episode, i found the Wii version very hard to play, the gameplay is not as fun as the original and it's very long to get used to and the boss fights are boring and painful

Not a port as good as previous ones, too bad

I felt that the Wii NPC was rather tiring to play, since you have to constantly shake the wiimote-nunchuk to manoeuvre DK...

I tried it for a sec and as far as I saw you manoeuvre DK with the analog-stick

shake of the Wiimote make him clap...

I'm loving this game. Motion controls, even if it's just shaking, are extremely responsive. I've never had fail to go off when I wanted.

Between this and Klonoa, it's been the best week in a long time for platformer fans (or should I say platformer fans like myself, since everyone else seems to be slagging on this game?). Even if they're both remakes, I'm having a ton of fun running through them, and I'm already planning on revisiting levels for better combo paths in DK.

Use the latest GeckoOS to install the needed ios'es off the disc. After that, you should be able to play from the disc channel.
