Haha, the demo is it's own game? That's pretty good i guess.
Might try it if it's small.

EDIT: Damn, can't find either at any of my sources.

BTW for those interested in downloading this for various reasons, note you must have a Classic Controller to play this, there is no other control method.

thats sucks major balls, i don't have one, can you use a gamecube pad instead?

QUOTE(CockroachMan @ Apr 21 2009, 01:44 PM) Also, Capcom already said this is not coming to US or Europe.

that's capcom loss then, they didn't release monster hunter G in english on the ps2, why would capcom need to be selfish and not release this version in western markets? there is no excuse imo as monster hunter is just a popular in the west.
A) Nope, Classic Controller only.
B) Monster Hunter is nowhere as close to popular here as it is in Japan. There's a reason why they shut down the servers for the first PS2 game, but in Japan it's still going strong.

Yeah, the reason is that the company that Capcom subcontracted to run the US servers went out of business. Can't exactly patch PS2 games to connect to new servers, so they were forced to give it up.

I'm not arguing that MH is not as popular in America as it should be, but saying that that's why the servers shut down is ignorant. The RE Outbreak servers were run by the same group and that's why they're gone too.

Anyway, I'm sad. I can't find the MHTri demo anywhere.

Okay, I got the game to work perfectly for me. I have 4.0 firmware with D2pro9, and no homebrew of any kind.

Anyway, this game has English menu and character select, but everything else is in Japanese. I've searched around a bit, and didnt find an option to change languages. So for the sites that said this has English support, they were merely talking about the menu.

Just buy the Classic Controller. It's the only Wii accessory that's worth buying.

not everyone has the power to buy what they want. i personally have to use my money on bills and such, so no classic controller for me, not right now anyway, the classic controller is about £20 in the Uk or something? i didn't bother with it because the gamecube controller does the same thing, capcom are just being lazy imo, this game could perfectly be played with a wiimote and nunchuck, and also if monster hunter 3 is the same where you have to use a classic controller exclusively i will be real mad then.

the same thing happend in capcom europe, the servers were closed down, i was real upset as i loved the first monster hunter online, i spent at least over 300 hours of my time playing that game on the ps2, outbreak was the same in europe too, it's sad really.

i wouldn't say that, go to the capcom forums or fan made forums and they speak for themselves, capcom ignored the fans of the game in the west just so they can cater to their home land instead, they seem to do that a lot in japan anyway.

So has anyone been able to get this to work without using a modchip? I'm sad right now considering that I went and bought a CC just to play this.

Strange...Here i have a Wii in the 4.0U(Modded with a Wiikey 1.9s), brickblocked and used Regionfrii on Monster Hunter G, and it works like a charm o_o', the save build screen was normal, and i was able to start the game.
