Hardware Wifi connection

i turn on my switch i join my wifi and as soon as i back out and hit test connection it says wifi failed i cant connect to the eshop or anything

i have sx os installed it says to update my console im trying to link my nintendo account

Sxos doesn't support 7.1 don't update or you won't be able to load sxos

Disable stealth mode but you will end updating so first set up emunand then update

It's SXOS stealth mode, its basically blocking it from connecting so you don't update. Why you would want to connect online or access the eshop I don't know
